The National Hook Up of Black Women (NHBW) Birmingham Chapter has collaborated with East Lake United Methodist Church Recovery Drop In center by sponsoring a Health and Wellness Pantry for individuals participating in our drop in center. In addition, members volunteer to provide free life skill classes, coaching and financial literacy classes and workshops.
The National Hook-Up of Black Women, Inc. (NHBW, Inc.) is a national, nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization formally established in 1974. Their national agenda dedicates itself to improving the lives of women and their families through support of the arts, culture, health, education, and human service programs.
